The course focuses on the problems that arise when managing requirements in a changing and cost sensitive reality. The course discusses challenges related to large scale requirements engineering and market-driven requirements engineering. Areas such as continuous requirements engineering, requirements engineering process improvement, quality requirements, value, and technical product management are discussed and related to industry practice.

Course modules:

  • Introduction to continuous requirements engineering and continuous product management.
  • Elicitation, Specification, Validation and Analysis for continuous large scale requirements engineering.
  • Defining a product strategy with its associated business model, and align the strategy with the product’s requirements.
  • Value based requirements engineering/decision-making
  • Non-Functional Requirements/Quality Requirements
  • Release planning and prioritization.
